I have not seen a lot of feedback about Porcher toilets on this forum in my many years as contributor. Try the Terrylove plumbing forum for reviews about the Porcher toilet. You may also be interested in the threads about the washlet instead of a bidet. Many on this forum use the Toto toilets (including myself). Kohler and American standard also have a strong following for their newer toilets too. The Totos tend to have 3" trapways which really improve their performance when clogging may be involved. I have two Toto Carlyles and in over six years of ownership, I nor my guests have clogged the toilet. The newer Kohler and American standards also have a 3" trapway if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion about Terry Love's forum. Not much there on this specific toilet except for people asking the same question as I am! But otherwise a useful place to know about.

I would suggest that you read a report done in California on toilet 'Maximum Performance Testing' since it can give you a specific way to better understand which toilets would be good. The California Urban Water Conservation Council did a detailed report that measures how many grams of waste each toilet can handle in one flush without clogging. Check it out!
Also, we had a Porcher Calla toilet that was fantastic and a Kohler Memoirs 2-piece that was horrible. After reading the report, I can see why. Hope this helps!

Seriously, they look nice, but no nicer than plenty of other toilets. And they work fine, just like plenty of others. But, the outrageous price aside, parts cannot be bougth retail (not even at dealers/distributors), so add seven days and $15 for shipping - and it requires PROPRIETARY PARTS!

That's right. No walking into Home Depot and buying a flapper or a seat. That will be $90 for their equivalent of a flapper and $125 upwards for a seat, plus shipping.

And then the seat cannot be fit under some normal circumstances (non-replaceable/non-tightenable bolts worked loose over a decade or so!)

I just replaced my Porcher this afternoon with a perfectly good looking and well functioning standard toilet that uses standard parts at a reasonable price.

The Porcher I dumped unceremoniously into the garbage bin.

Literally!
