I am thinking about having a plant swap in October 2006 at my home in Winter Park, Florida. My yard is big and contains a plethora of plant & tree varieties. I have mostly bright light under my majestic live oaks. Harry P. Leu Garden and Mead Garden are both only 1/2 mile away. I'm trying to get a 'feel' for your ideas and possible attendance. Please, let me know! I'm thinkin' about a potluck BBQ, plant exchanges and a whole lot of fun. Musical instruments are welcomed, also. Diana

Received my seeds today! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you Kamil and everyone! I'm just about to go start mine! I even got my favorite color, how's that for cool! Maybe we could do a swap based on color next time...Hm, I might have to start one of those based on purple.... :0) Thanks a bunch guys/gals it was fun!

OMG I had a post all typed out and this thing ATE IT!!!! Man, I wish I hadn't missed the Mini Roses Cindy! I didn't have the Cleopatra, I have Orange, 1 Bengal Tiger Baby, small mini red Cannas. Please do list a wish/wants list Cindy so if there is anything we have we can offer you then we will ;). New Request from Cindy: Zebra Grass I am looking for ANY grasses I plan on putting in a grass bed at the top of our driveway so we don't have to mow up there anymore :) I put in some rocks with the house number all ready and our neighbor gave us and ornamental solar light decoration to go up there!!! Tammy you asked me how the spiderwort looked lining the drive, there wasn't as much left over after the swap as I thought there would be. I DO have some I got from my mom and a friend though, not sure if it will cover the lenght of the drive or not. And I haven't really decided if I want that or that red mini grass I forgot what it is called at the moment... OK posting thread #3 now too. :) Fran

Tammy thanks for the tip on the vinegar BUT I have GERD and that vinegar would surely give me hearth burn ALL night long, I couldnt do it. I have it really bad too so I just couldnt do that at all. I have had insomnia all my life I am sure of it, I have never been able to sleep well at night anyway. I went to bed last night, this AM at 2:00/2:30ish and woke up at 5:00 am and I have been up ever since, I feel like I am dragging and the worse part is the antibiotics I am taking for this dang sinus infection seems to be making it worse instead of better!!! I dont like spidersblack widows and brown recluse are awful ones to have around. I havent even seen a brown recluse and I hope I never to. Theresa that is some scary stuff, wow what a thing to go through! Let me tell you what! If it would have been ME I would have had a heart attack right then and there! My sons GFs grandparents were changing their carpet today and he asked me if I wanted it because the way the yard is here when it rains it either turns into a muddy mess or a river depending on how hard it rains in front of our doorstep stoop so I figured the carpet would be better then mud. Well, he calls to tell me to come get it, they had cut the pieces into sections about 2.5 feet and my son happened to get the last piece, I was putting the next to the last piece on the truck so it was the luck of the drawl that he let me get the piece I did. Anyway, I was hoisting this piece over the side of the truck and my son says OH CRAP! I stepped back to ask him what is wrong and I see it, a snake about 3 feet long was slithering away from him. THANK GOODNESS it chose to go the way it did because if it had come toward me I STILL might would have had a heart attack. We looked for it because I wanted my SO to see it so see if he could ID it because I have never seen one like it before and I have searched on the internet since then and havent found any info on it yet! It was shiny black with a yellow stripe going the length of its back toward its tail, I havent ever seen one like it. It was a very vivid yellow too, it was clearly marked, I was like OMG ewww ewww ewww. WHAT is it today with Spiders and Snakes? YUCK!!! I will post another thread in the AM, I am just too tired at the moment to do it, I am headed to bed. :) Fran PS I like the double glorisa as well could I get some seeds? THANKS lol.
