Is it plugged in? LOL, just kidding. What do you mean when you say you 'dusted' it? What type of atmosphere has it been in? How did you dust it? Did it work immediately before your dusting? Does it make any noise at all when you try to turn it on? A click perhaps? How about any indication (power) lights? Have you tried both the remote and the switch on the unit itself? Make sure the outlet is working by trying some other device. Other than the above, it sounds to me like your power supply has called it quits. Under no circumstance should you open the TV up. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, you can get seriously zapped.. and I mean seriously.

You wired it wrong. Please give us some details of what you did. If you conencted it to the same two wires as the old fixture then it should work. It you tried to FIX a problem you thought you saw when black and white wires were connected together then you messed it up.

I'm betting the new switches are not physically the same as the old ones. On 3b make sure the Black wire from the 2-conductor cable is connected to the Common terminal of the 3-way switch. The replacement and original may not be physically identical though they may be electrically equivalent. On 3a, same thing - make sure the black wire is connected to the Common terminal. It should be marked "Comm" or the screw will be a different color. Remove the 4-way and wire nut the wires together, red to red and white to white. This will enable you to get the circuit working with just the 3-way switches. Once that is done you can work on re-installing the 4-way correctly by following the wiring diagram that comes with it. BE CAREFUL - you do not show the complete circuit diagram and I am making assumptions on what the wires are based on limited information. Double check that the wires truly are connected as shown.

In the rental we were living in prior to buying our home, I had the same problem with a kenmore stove. I was using the right burner in the front, and it decided to turn itself on high, and wouldn't shut off. It ruined my new Cuisinart nonstick pan. It did this several times. Unfortunately, the house we purchased has the same stove (and crappy dishwasher, also a kenmore, same builder built both houses) I haven't had it happen yet to me with this stove, but the front left burner is already having issues and the stove was only used for 1.5-2 years. The burner will only work on high. The model is 790.96019400. Our wall oven works, but the control panel has issues in the way that most of the lights on it stay lit all the time, when they are not supposed to do that. It's also a kenmore, model 790.47179400. And the worlds crappiest dishwasher is model 587.1514900. I really appreciate you posting this, I am going to look into this. I'm so sorry you've had such a bad week with your appliances! :o(
