Where to buy bathroom fixtures in Northern NJ?
Comments (9)Oh, and I can't forget my friends over at Wallingtons. I went to the one in Fairfield, which may or may not be close to you, but they also have other shops. W's is more a "to the trade'' kind of place. Reminded me of the bare-bones auto supply stores my dad used to take me to when I was a kid, where you walk in and there's a big counter where the customers stand on one side and the clerks/salespeople on the other, and only they can get to the "supplies'' piled on high shelves behind them. I was the only female in the place, every time I went there. The only problem with them, is that they only sell a few brands, primarily Kohler. A guy there basically helped me design my showers and tub fixtures. Very helpful, even to a lady!...See MoreBathroom Hardware - Where did you buy?
Comments (4)I've used online places before. It's tough to match (for example) the Moen oil rubbed bronze faucet finish to the no-name towel rings exactly, but satin nickel and chrome are easy. We had some issues to overcome, like our master bath didn't have any wall space by our shower (closest was 12 ft away). But we found a vertical/swing bar that holds three towels in a 12 inch wide space. It worked out great and isn't in any store. Sometimes, online is the way to go....See MoreWhat type of faucets would you buy for bathroom?
Comments (5)Asolo......good point. I've never had what you call '1/4-turn' handles. It does seem you'd be able to push or pull using the back of your hand or wrist. That's the style we prefer anyway, but I was just wondering if we'd be happier with the style with only 1 control, like we plan to get in the kitchen. And I agree, we're going with a pull-out sprayer in the kitchen.....definitely! Thanks for your ideas. homebound.....fortunately, since we're doing such a huge renovation, we're getting builder prices on all of our plumbing fixtures from the higher end plumbing stores. So far we've been happy with the prices they've quoted us. Overall though, I'm quite amazed at how much faucets cost in general. Personally, I don't care what is considered high end or low end. :-) I just want good functionality, and I'm trying to decide what would work better for us. I've never had 1 control in a bathroom. I've always had separate hot/cold faucets. But they've been the knob style, and I hate them. Perhaps the newer styles would work better for us....See MoreWhere do you buy panasonic or fantech bathroom exhaust fans?
Comments (14)I bought a panasonic from http://www.rewci.com/ It would have been a few dollars cheaper than amazon if I hadn't had to pay CA sales tax. They shipped the day it was ordered and it came the next day since their warehouse was only 60 miles away....See Moretry-it
