Thank you so much brickeye and barbcollins for your replies. I just got home from a seminar that was all day and I am so tired from not sleeping well worrying about the tile. I remeasured and I did measure by the perimeter without deducting for areas where there are no tile. Hence, When I deducted those areas it looks like I will be fine. What a relief. But I am going to place the tiles on the floor to be sure I have enough since their is 3 square feet of a smaller tile at the store left if I need it for behind the refrigerator. I found an installer I called at lunch who can come by tonight to remeasure and give me an estimate but you both helped me a lot. The worse case scenario is I place different tile under the refrigerator since that is approximately the square footage I thought I was short or I add in other tiles to the mix. The better case scenario is I have enough tiles due to not deducting the area where there will be no tiles so maybe I am fine. I wish I bought all the tiles 2 weeks ago when I found out they were discontinued and there was a lot more and use any leftover ones for my laundry room and utility room but the time I stopped into the store to buy the tile they only had so much left over and I bought them all. I feel a lot better despite being so tired. I really love the tile and the fact it is rectified so I can have skinnier lines in the kitchen for an easier time keeping the grout clean. I will update after the installer leaves.

Our house (built in 1992) has bulldozed corners and the original owners has applied the baseboards with a 22.5 miter to a short pc to round the corner then another 22.5 to the next wall. It looked fine but we put in all new flooring and used the prefab rounded corners with a taller plain baseboard and I like it much better.

Neither. 1. Continue the pattern all the way around the projecting wall, or 2. If you are using a solid surface on top of the threshold (to match the countertop), use the same material for the end of the projecting wall, all the way up. You would not need any bullnose in that case. I would absolutely, in no case, use a piece of molding there. It would look like what it is: a piece of molding slapped in place after the fact because no thought was put into the planning ahead of time, and "hey, let's just cover it up with a quick and dirty piece of molding". How are you planning on detailing the top of that projection?

It's gorgeous. I'm happy to hear Fireclay intends to do the right thing. I'd wait too and see whether it bugs you still..you might find your reaction changing to very different as the time goes by I definitely see the difference..would it bug me? I don't know. Would it bug me to the extent of changing it? Don't know either. Might be not. It's your call..just give it some time Another thing..it might be that you'd put some jar or whatever with your cooking utensils there anyway..whatever bothers you when you concentrate on it only, fades away when there are other things around. It'd drive me crazy too, this mess up thing..yet it is still wonderful, in the end of the day. Always a good idea to send samples of the tiles you have already for when you order more. Actually we were advised by our sales person(wasn't Fireclay though..went with Ann Sacks) to do exactly that..since it's custom..so every time we needed some more( there were several..remodel issues lol)..she always sent one of the tiles to them even though the tile wasn't patterned. I must say she was pretty amazing at her job..I'll always remember her as one of the best sales people I ever dealt with (and other services too..I tend to remember people that highly impress me for years and years, even if I saw them for 10 min total..and she had to bear with us for months and months..))
