The best range hood for a 30' range
Comments (3)Do you have a budget? I ask because there are a lot of things out there but they vary in price. For a range like the NXR you want at least 600 CFM. You also want to look at how you clean the hood. I shied away from the vent-a-hood because some reviews indicated they were difficult to clean....See MoreInsert range hood vs. chimney range hood?
Comments (2)Stainless steel easier to wipe down than wood. Also, it’s more of a pain to buy the separate components for a hood with cabinetry surround than a metal hood where it comes all-in-one. Also you need to make sure that the cabinetry surround is designed with proper proportions. A metal hood, you just shop for the one with the correct measurements. For a cabinet hood surround, you will have to carefully examine what the designer‘s hood surround plans are. It needs to be 6” wider than the cooktop. It must be deep enough front-to-back which is at least 24” deep; a common error of cabinet hood surrounds is that they are designed too shallow. Also sometimes a cabinetry surround plus a wall of more upper cabinets all around it can look like too much wall of cabinetry. Depends on the design....See More30" Double Oven Gas Range & Range Hood Recommendations
Comments (7)Thanks @wdccruise, I've seen these but I'm not a huge fan of how they look. I was looking at the GE Profile slide-ins and they get some bad reviews, but these reviews look pretty good. I think that one might be a good option for us....See Morecan you place 36 range hood over 30 range?
Comments (2)@A H - a hood that is 6" wider than the cooktop is actually the recommended installation. Many people do not have the upper space for the wider hood. But it sounds like you do, so you should get the 36" hood over your 30" cooktop....See Morejulieste
