Identifying the mark of cup&saucer mark

I have a set of cup and saucer, but can not recognize the mark? Could anybody help me on it?

please look at the photo, will that be from Japan, I was told it should has some history...

Sorry I don't know that mark. But it doesn't look like a Japanese mark to me, it looks like "H B" in a triangle.

HB in triangle can be HB Henriot Quimper, France 1898 on to present. The triangle I'm looking at has a little star, leaf or something in each of the 3 corners along with HB in center.

It could be a number of things including RMV. It's hard to tell from just one leaf. Even if it is RMV stop worrying about it. RMV is not a fatal condition for the rose and almost ALL roses sold in the USA have it. From that photo I'd say your rose is exceedingly healthy, happy and beautiful!

If those marks are depressions, then I think that an owner made these marks with a punch. Its rather crudely done. If instead, these marks are raised, then those were likely in the casting mold and were cast. It appears to be a casting instead a machined part. There could be a mark hidden under the lever. Open it to find out. However, if you find a trademark on this piece, realize that it is a piece of hardware and may carry the trademark of the hardware maker instead of the furniture maker. Look elsewhere for the furniture maker's mark. His mark may be an ink stamp. If the maker's mark was a pasted-on paper label, it could have yellowed with age and is gone.

no drain hole in that pot is there?? next spring.. i would find a nursery pot that fits inside that pot... and repot it in that.. and then slide that in your pretty pot .. its called a pot in pot system ... i cant see new leaves due to the snow glare outside.. but ill take your word on that ... and i would use the best media mix you can make or find .. im not sure the pot is too big ... in other words.. i dont think that is an issue ... but if your media is swampy down at the bottom to the pot... that might be an issue ... it would seem to need water above... but if its swampy below .. that might be a problem ... come mid fall ... i treat all my outdoor houseplants with a systemic product .. and give the plants a couple weeks before i bring them indoors ... thats how i avoid bringing in bugs .. the ugly leaves are still processing light into energy.. so dont remove them until there is no green left on them ... ken

That cup is nothing at all like anything ever made by Quimper.

There are many HB marks. Can you show a photo of the mark. If it's one of the above, I can't open it.

The link in my post above your post shows the mark on the saucer.
Quimper was marked with their signature brush stroke...nothing like the mark on the saucer....and their ware looks nothing like the rose decorated cup and saucer which looks to me like bone china.

I'll take your word for it that it's HB in the backstamp. I don't think it's Japanese and definitely not Quimper. It probably isn't British -- just a guess that it's European.

The link shows HB in a diamond, not a triangle - that may be the source of the misunderstanding here.
