I found your seed list trying to find a source for 'big month', which a friend of mine grew last year and really liked but didn't save seed from and now can't find a commercial source for. I'm personally interested in 'green giant'. I love green tomato juice. So far I've grown 'green zebra' (which did fairly well), 'emerald evergreen' (which performed terribly), and 'Aunt Ruby's German green' (which was probably the best of the three.) Do you have a favorite green-when-ripe tomato you can recommend? I've read high praise for the 'green giant'. Feel free to contact me if you think I might have anything you'd be interested in trading for. I don't have any of the tomato varieties you're looking for, but I have a few tomato varieties you don't have. I would particularly note San Marzano redorta and Polish linguisa which are very similar, very large/long extremely meaty paste types. They're a very tasty fresh eating tomato but my family's very first choice for canning whole, for sauce, for roasted tomatoes, for paste, etc.

I'm not at all sure that i would refer to Alan Chadwick as a pioneer of Organic Gardening/Farming since he came on the scene after I was already practicing what Sir Albert Howard, Lady Eve Balfour, Friend Sykes, J. I. Rodale, Helen and Scott Nearing, Leonard Wickenden, and many others true pioneers taught me. Chadwick, as I recall, was considered at the time to be on the fringes, more into biodynamic methods.

Will see if there's a significant difference **** Glad you're going to do the comparison in the same year b'c I don't consider different DTM's to be significant for a couple of reasons, one being that commercial folks don't grow out new stock all in the same year and second, I've always considered DTM's to be sheer guesstimates. LOL other than that they're both largish red cherries and fruit size can also be a bit off especially if it's been a wet year or even if there's been too much irrigation in any given year. For what it's worth, in the SSE Yearbook all who list Camp Joy list it as a 70-75 variety and Chadwick's is listed by someone in Canada as 80 days, from HI as 70-75 days, from OH as 70 days. And Tania at her data base also equates Chadwick Cherry with Camp Joy and says that Camp Joy is the organic Farm maintained by Bountiful Gardens( where Alan Chadwick spent some time), and CJM says no doubt growing his variety at that organic farm. Carolyn, who I think first got her info about the two names being the same from Bountiful Gardens and the fact that they were the same. It's been so long ago and I'm so old that the memory is fleeting, but is there. LOL

Give Kellogg's Breakfast and Supersweet 100 a try. Great tomatoes
