Do you trim the fur on your long haired dog?
Comments (17)Sammy and Hoov: Glad you enjoyed the pictures. It is funny getting her summer hairdo every year. She does feel better when its done. She literally bounces off the walls without that heavy fur coat to drag around. What makes me laugh is when we bring her home from the groomers my cats seem to laugh at her! I mean they know its her because of the scent I presume but they run around the house and tap her in the bottom with their paws and act like kittens chasing her. They all get a great aerobic workout the first week or so after her grooming because my two cats find her new appearance so amusing they chase her everywhere. Kitties are fun what can I say. Comments (6)Here's a word from experience. I grew up with very long dense hair on my arms. As a young adult I naired them and my legs. Hair grew back very slowly and thin, no stubble. I only did my arms a couple of times but today I hardly have any hair on one arm and the other slightly hairy but so thin it's almost invisible. My legs are almost hairless also. I nair them once in a while but haven't done my arms again as I felt weird and abnormal with NO hair on my arms. Of course, no one noticed except me. I've heard that even pluckying hair it often doesn't grow back. My daughter used to severely pluck her eyebrows and today, she hardly has any left. Comments (62)Jlc, you're stunning dear. Your hair is faboo… Like the others, it's not at all what I expected. I have seriously curly hair, and wear it just past my shoulders with very long layers. Any other cut would be treacherous on a humid day. I'm a bit older than you, and that style works for me. I have had too many bad haircuts to worry about if I'm too old for what works best. I color it because I don't feel old enough to be all grey. Maybe one day I'll move to a silver bob, but probably not for another decade or so… Ellendi and BBee3 mentioned Keratin. I tried about 5 different professional Keratin treatments, and there is a wide range of results. Some are poker straight, others hardly any difference. I like the one that just makes the curls "drop" a little, and still take a curling iron if I want more "boing." There are temporary 30 day treatments, others last about 6 months. The 30 day doesn't make a huge difference, but it will make blow drying time shorter. It's a nice entree into the keratin products, and maintains the flat iron even on rainy days. I remember when Laurie Partridge and Marsha Brady hair was the style. After one of the Keratin treatments where my hair wouldn't hold a curl, I was cured of wishing for that. I'm accustomed to big hair, and it's just not me in pin straight. You rock those curls Jlc! Here is another great Dove Campaign: Dove Curly Hair Campaign...See Morehow long to regrow fine root hairs?
Comments (3)Thanks Al! The trees have been in the garage for the week after pruning and the temps have still been rather cold at night and sometimes getting fairly warm during the day. However, the buds have not opened this week and in fact look the same as last week. So, it seems it will be ok for me to remove the trees from the pot and wash off any clinging old soil with water using a hose (I put some water in the pots when I put the trees back in the pots last week) and place the trees into new soil? Thanks again! Brian...See Moremaid_o_cliff
