what size grout line for subway tile? and recs for white grout?
Comments (14)If you have tight grout lines, you would be using unsanded grout, which looks whiter than the sanded version of the same color. We recently used TEX XT grout in Bright White--#910 in our bathrooms, and it looks very white. The large format Porcelanosa tile we used in our MB is a very white, very glossy tile, so we wanted a white grout that matched well. The XT is supposed to be more stain resistant (than other grouts?), so hopefully our white grout will be less likely to discolor (since it looks so pretty right now!). It's not necessary to seal it, but you can (with a solvent-based sealer). We sealed ours for added protection/peace-of-mind....See MoreDo you need to match wall tile grout to floor tile grout?
Comments (7)I just last Friday had both my walls and floors (I have the same large format tile on the walls as well as the floor) grouted with Mapei Warm Gray. It's gorgeous, I love it on the walls, but somehow I'm finding it a little to light for the floors, even though I like and wanted a uniform look. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with how the bathroom is turning out, but I think I'd have gone a little darker on the floors if I had it to do over....See Moremedium gray grout for black hex floor tile?
Comments (4)I ended up using Mapei Timberwolf and it turned out really nice. It looks pretty light next to the almost black Nero Marquis’s but it is definitely more of a medium gray. I did Mapei warm gray on my white subway tiles which is a much lighter gray. I don’t have a photo at the moment but hopefully this video will load....See MoreCan grout color of white subway tile be changed without removing tile?
Comments (3)Yes!! Whether you have tile grout problems or you simply don't like its color, it is possible to change the color without tearing out all of your tiles. Hire Precious Tiling to get this job done, it will be easy and quick....See Morebill_vincent
