i have a very small shower too. my door opening is only like 24 or 25 inches wide and the shower is very odd-shaped -- I'm sure less than 33" deep. in which direction does the shower head point? that will be a big consideration in keeping the water away from the opening. The important thing is really how square you were able to keep your opening when the shower was constructed and tiled. My door did end up leaking a lot at the bottom, since the shower is so small it's difficult to keep the spray away from the door opening, even with the shower head pointed in the optimum direction, and even with a square opening and custom made door. So I had to slide a clear plastic lip on the bottom edge (provided by the sub). I was worried about how the lip would look, whether it would destroy the nice clean look of the frameless door, but it doesn't. It's really barely noticeable. Now I only occasionally get a tiny bit of leakage at the side edge that is nearest the shower head (i.e., when I'm standing under the shower, sometimes the splash of the water causes some spray to land outside the shower.) But it's minimal and doesn't happen all the time. A good frameless shower sub will be able to answer all your questions.

We recently had a frameless glass shower door installed. There is a bench in the shower and a panel that attaches to the wall with clips (1/2 " thick glass to hold the weight of the door), then the shower door and another panel attached to the other wall (both 3/8" glass). There was a sweep thing on the bottom of the door that leaked water out onto the sill..even though it is pitched inward...and onto the floor. It appeared to leak on the bottom hinged side. Contractor replaced sweep, still leaked. Also had a small leak on the bottom of one of the wall clips. Contractor replaced the sweep with a "u channel" which also leaks in same area but less so. Am I being unrealistic to expect no leaks? It cost $2700.
