I am having this problem currently with my Roma tomatoes. It is late in the season and I think the plants are stressed from both the white flies and age--but I've left the tomatoes on the vine or put in the sun if they dropped off on their own and the ripening process has continued. The tomatoes taste good still too so I have still been eating them. My concern and search/research was motivated by a desire to know if eating the fruits would have any negative affects health wise. This has been harder to find. No chemicals just bugs--I can share. Hoping all is well.

It's only been four days. It's still green. I would give it a little time to cure out. I've had colored decks that took weeks to achieve the final color. You have to remember that concrete is its own beast. No matter what we do to it to prevent it from discoloring or cracking it does what it wants to do. Concrete curing is dependent upon many factors such as time of day it is poured, humidity etc. I would not hold a check on your contractor due to something that is out of his control. Concrete that is poured is NEVER ready to become a 'finished' floor. It just isn't. If you had talked to the concrete guys and TOLD them you wanted to leave the floors bare so that they could be sealed, they would have given you a slightly higher quote for an aggregate that is appropriate for doing exactly what you want to do. At this point, you have sealant on the concrete. If you wanted to reverse course and do something that looks 'nice' you have to grind/blast through you sealant (1mm down or so) and top coat this with high-end aggregate. If you try to make this look nicer by sanding/grinding a bit is going to make it look worse. If you are not ready to put in the micro-topping then the best thing to do is keep going. This is the 'slab' concrete that you have. It will look like 'slab' concrete until you blast it and add the expensive micro-topping. And remember: concrete changes. Right after that it changes. And then it changes again. And before it changes, it will change. Even sealed concrete stains (discolouration from ketchup, mustard, etc). It etches (water, oil, vinegar, etc). By the time you have lived on this for 1 year, it will look very different from what you have today.

Do you notice any difference in the feel of the blotchy areas vs the rest? I’m talking, if someone blindfolded you, spun you around so you didn’t know where in the kitchen you were standing, and then placed your hand on the countertop and told you to “feel around for the splotches,” would you be able to find them?
