The moma's usually know how much pressure a chick can handle. My duck hens will get the baby right next to their skin, kinda engulfing the baby in feathers. It keeps them very warm and cozy. What's cute is when the babies climb onto momma's back to get a good look around.

The other three EARLIES that I know are MOSCOWICH , KIMBERLY, and STUPICE.

There are numerous sites on-line for the hardware kits, most come with instructions for building your own. The kits range from about $250 to $400, depending on the lifting system (and who's selling). Lumber is additional. All things considered, I would recommend buying the parts rather than playing with diy engineering. Yes, you can use ready-made bookcases, but keep in mind that even unfinished ones are not inexpensive. You can also add your own doors to bookcases, to turn them into partial or total cabinets. The cases to either side of the bed should be slightly deeper than the folded bed, usually 12" to 15". I do recommend that they be attached to wall studs. The concealing cases can be any depth, but 9" to 12" will look good. I find a tracked sliding system easiest, and on one, I did add concealed roller casters because of the deep carpet. Yes, the casters do make it easier to move the cases. I also helped a friend make one, using panels instead of cases for the concealment. The advantage is a slight gain in floor space while the bed is concealed, and the disadvantage is the loss of the shelf space from using panels instead of cases. If you were to fill a 12" deep, 3'x 7' case with books, the total weight could easily be in excess of 500 lbs. The fewer books and art objets, the less weight, but even empty cases can be quite heavy. A double-sized mattress with spring will weigh less than 200 lbs, plus the moving assembly. We are not talking something you can pick up with one hand, so care must be taken to follow all directions carefully. Once assembled, the bed is indeed easily raised and lowered (two hands but little stress, lol).

Sounds a lot like the crew at the hospital where I get dialysis- 2 needles a day, three days a wqeek = 6 a week, = 312 a year, I've been on dialysis over 3 years so I must be up to one thousand. I don't have nicknames. The first week, the technician (I'll call him Mark, his real name). The first time he stuck a needle in my arm, it went through the vein and out the other side . Very painful, I screamed and had a bruise for weeks. After that, I only let nurses touch me, not any technicians. But there was one "tech" who helped me. His name was Stan, he was a very good looking, funny, black guy. He got the needles in without pain. Then another, paul, a big fat guy who was very friendly and we'd chat about our dogs, cooking, gardening, you name it. Paul became my favorite. If he was on the floor when i arrived for dialysis, I'd request him. But just a few weeks ago he got promoted and left. He now works in the operating room upstairs. I see him once in a while in the hallways or elevator and he always talks to me. My least favorite is a nurse named Diane. Once during dialysis, she grabbed my arm and squeezed, the needle popped out and blood ran all over. Another time, I was feeling very bad, I called out to her. She said I was becoming "cyanotic and toxic". I was blue and cold and thought I was going to die. She shut off the dialysis machine and warmed me up with hot water bottles. I think she saved my life. I did thank her. Takes all kinds.
