Lorraine Leroux....The curtain rod isn't thicker, but the color of the rod is clashing with most rings, rather than blending. Maureen...Would you believe it, I just tried that exact ring. The color difference was indeed minimal. The problem I've had with those rings (and two others of the same type) is that they open unexpectedly and fall on the shower floor! I guess the closure just isn't tough enough. Spray paint might be the way to go. I kind of hate to do it as it feels as if I'll forever be touching up. What a good match of paint you found, though! Tempting!!

Champaign Bronze is over and done with. Nickel and chrome are timeless..
