I like your seedling. That's the kind of big puffy doubles I love and the color is great. I didn't even try to take many photos today-I headed out to dead head, and only made it through a small area before I gave up and decided it was too hot and could wait till evening! By then of course, the blooms were faded and wilted with just e few rain drops to make them mushy, but not enough to do any good. Can't really complain though. We missed a bad storm with 75-80 mph winds that hit about 1/2 hr. drive from here. A lot of those people have lost there power and they said on the news it was a big enough outage that it may take a couple days to fix in this heat.

I'm doing the same debate. Overall the Weber (S620) seems better made, but the VC has significantly higher btu's per sqaure inch of grill area. The VC is 117 btu's / sq " while the Weber is only 86. Theoretically the VC will do a much better job of searing/carmelizing meat. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on these 2 mfr's.

Long time viewer -- first-time poster . . . I'm builing an outdoor kitchen. My focus in this post is the BBQ grill. I am replacing previous owner's nat gas grill as I do a complete renovation of this house. I will have the builder make a built-in area for the grill. I was looking at the Weber Summit S-650, as the features/quality fit the bill. I noticed on Weber's website that they make a similar, although not exact, version of this (calls S-640) for built-in installations. This model, however seems to lack the functionality on the "wings" of the grill that the portable model has. I'm wondering if my builder can just build around the S650, to preserve the functionality as well as get the built-in look. Has anyone done this?

Ok - We're mmoving back into our house that is being remodeled (and doesn't have a working kitchen). All we have is charcoal grill that is a huge project to use. I'm wanting to get a propane grill (for my birthday) so we can eat something that is not from the microwave. I want to get something that I won't want to throw away next year, but can't spend an arm and a leg. I've narrowed it down to th Summit S-450 (which is still kinda pricey at $1400). I'm wondering if anyone has one and can confirm my choice. I also looked at the 420 which is a little less - no infrared - is it worth the extra cash for the infrared? Any input would be appreciated - I finally located one and don't want to lose it! thanks.
