I don't know if this works for undereye bags per se, but I've heard a lot of nice things about Cellex-C products.

I don't usually buy into the hype that a lot of products claim, but I can say that I worked with an older woman who swore by Cellex-C, and she had nice skin for her age...it is designed to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and tighten the pores...I've seen before and after pics in magazines which piqued my interest in the first place - they applied it for 6 months to one eye, and left the other alone for comparison, and the results were amazing - one eye looked tired, the other eye refreshed.

Either way, it's something to look into, but it is a bit on the expensive side, perhaps if you go to a local skin care store (Sephora) they MAY be able to give you a sample of the product, though the results aren't immediate. I purchased Cellex C High Potency Serum at a local hair salon, and that I use for my face. I also purchased the Cellex-C Eye Contour Cream at Sephora, it's a lower concentration, but designed specifically for the eye area. They also have an undereye toning gel, but I can't comment as I've not tried it, but that's the one you'll probably want to look into.

I'm sure if you talk to a specialist they'll be able to tell you which product is best for you. I've also read that there is a money back guarantee if the product does not work for you.

Make sure you are checking the expiration date if you order over the internet.

Maybe if you try to use it, do the one eye thing for a short time to see if you are getting results.

My skin is on the sensitive side so it gets a little tingly, a common side effect but goes away after a few minutes. I'm in my late 30's so for me it would be more a preventive than a cure, so I can't comment on the end results from your standpoint.

My best advice would be to cut down on sodium intake (water retention), ensure he is getting enough sleep (sleep apnea?), and take a daily multivitamin. Does he have allergies? I tend to get slight puffiness under my eyes when my allergies kick in.

Cucumbers are also supposed to be good for the eyes - very soothing. Witch hazel is also a calming agent for the skin, though not sure if you are supposed to use near the eyes. I've also heard washing/rinsing your face with mineral water is good for your pores.

Yes Cellex-C is a good product for the skin. I've used it and it did help but very slowly, and it's too expensive. I found a web site that promoted making your own vitamin C serum. I tried that for a while, much cheaper and worked as well except vitamin C degrades fast so you need to make it every few days. It was just vitamin c granules without additives, trader joe's is what I used, and added glycerin for suspension. Later, I just used the C alone as it didn't make my skin sticky. Then I use jojoba oil over it to moisturize skin as it absorbs better than anything. For bags under eyes, avoid salty foods, drink lots of water, it keeps the bags from forming (my observation). Keep a couple of teaspoons in the freezer and apply them to the eyes in the morning to bring down the edema or just a wash cloth wrung out of iced water and held against the eyes helps. DH complains of his baggy eyes but this is too much trouble for him. He will use the eye gels that help a lot.
