Bathroom Countertop Overhang
Comments (3)Side overhangs are very often less than front overhangs. How do you plan on handling the molding that sticks out further than the sides of the vanity? If the molding hits the side wall, then you will have a very skinny piece of floor between the wall and the vanity foot which will be difficult to clean. Comments (9)Hello, We used a slab of reclaimed old growth cedar as a unique countertop with a hand blown glass sink in one of our offices: We paid about $500 for this slab. In our master bath, we have two Wm. Garvey teak wood vessels. These are incredible sinks and look the same today as when we installed them 4 years ago. Just soap and water clean up and some teak oil about once a year. I've put a link to the website where we bought them. Good luck! Comments (19)Just going by the photos, I think it looks too small, yes. Reminds me of a prep sink in a kitchen … and a bulky mirror and big faucet will only make it look even smaller and more out of proportion. But — photos are hard to go by. Might look fine in person. Comments (8)Just butt the vanity up against the wall on one side and normal (1-1.5") overhang on the other side. No different than what you would do in a kitchen. How small is the vanity? Remember that you need elbow room so the center of the sink should be a minimum of 15" from the side wall. 20" is recommended....See Morelive_wire_oak
