Lok: Yeah the 361 is very lean on starting . I re-jetted mine . As for the Older Stihl Models and Ethanol Fuel , get some Star*tron from Walmart . I was advised of it for consideration from a fellow forum member and it has worked very well within my Daughters Snowblower which is ethanol fueled . I also bought some for my Diesel and have found increased fuel savings . If all is fine with Compression and the Ignition Modules a simple fuel circuit cleaning should solve your issues with the older saws .

Cooks' Illustrated did a gas grill comparison and included a TEC which had infrared burners. It was a few years ago so maybe things have changed but they did not like the infrareds. Very hot, good for searing and flame ups since anything that drips from the food hits the burners. I saw some models just the other day that had a small searing infrared burner and regular burners for the main cooking box. That sounds like a good idea. Now if you were talking infrared rotisserie burner which is to the side and not below the food, well then I can attest that mine works well. I have done rotisserie chickens on my Weber Summit with it (it is the only burner on) or without (using main burners) and only slightly prefer the rotisserie method. It is a desired feature in my book but not a must. As for grates, both iron and SS will sear your food given your grill is nice and hot. Here is what Weber's FAQs have to say about it. From Weber.com: "Q. Which are better, stainless steel, porcelain-coated cast iron or porcelain enamel cooking grates? All have their merits, so it is mostly a matter of personal preference. All require little maintenance and give great sear marks. Porcelain-coated cast iron grates will hold the heat longer so you donÂt have to cook with higher temperatures. Stainless steel grates have a longer warranty, followed by porcelain-coated cast iron, then porcelain enameled. Replacements are readily available for all styles."

the weber will outlast the charbroil, but at twice the price, is it worth it to you? the Charbroil has a larger cooking surface AND higher BTU rate than the Weber. also it has cast iron cooking grates, which to me equal more even heat than the Weber's stainless grate. so, for me, i would go with the Charbroil. not to start anything here, but have you considered charcoal or dual fuel grills? i saw a Char-Griller at my lowes a couple weeks back that was 2 grills in 1. gas on one side and the other grill was charcoal. ifyou plan on cooking anything that requires a long cook time, such as smoking meats, you just cannot beat a charcoal grill. gas cooks quicker, and has less mess to clean, but does not do as well for slow cooking items. i smoke my ribs for 6 hours on my chargriller, and they fall off the bone. trying to cook teh same ribs on a gas grill and they cook in under 2 hours and are TUFF!

When I bought a new range and refrigerator about a year and a half ago for my unremodeled kitchen, I decided to switch from a free standing to a slide in. I have a rather temporary black piece of metal behind the range to cover the gap, but it blends in perfectly with the black top. At the time I decided a smooth top electric was the best option for us since I was not ready to convert to gas without proper ventilation and a full remodel. I too was disappointed with the number of options for a lower-mid priced slide in range. I think as others have stated that most builder-grade and older homes have space for free standing ranges. The average homeowner seems mostly interested in gas vs electric and stainless vs black or white rather than free standing vs slide in. I think perhaps the average homeowner may not even know or care about the differences between a slide in and a free standing range. I too liked the easy cleaning factor I assumed I would have with the slide in. To an extent I avoid the crumbs and grime between the countertop and range, but I do still have a slight gap under the lip of the slide in that I must clean. I also like the sleek look of the slide in range without the lip / backsplash on the back of the range. I wish there were more slide in options available, but I imagine manufacturers are targeting the majority of the market.
