anitamo- When Moen sent me the free replacement faucet, I didn't know the model number or have the receipt either, so they just had me send them a photo of it from my phone to prove that I actually owned it, and they figured out the model for me. I think their lifetime warranty technically only applies to the original purchaser, but they didn't make me document that. Good luck.

Most are plastic now, even the higher end ones. I didn't love it either but the Kohler rep explained that it was a safety thing for dropping it against the glass or on your feet. The shower head will state what GPM it flows at a given PSI. If you don't have sufficient pressure it will trickle down to your shower head. also look at your water supply. Make sure the head you select has easy clean outlets to avoid build up I have Danze Nourish with 4 different streams. Dh likes the jet type setting. I like the rain one. We are both happy.

My contract with my GC provides that I supply the fixtures and obviously the rough stuff as well since it has to work with the fixtures. However, at some point someone who understands technical plumbing issues should be doing the purchasing or telling you exactly what to purchase. When I was selecting my shower fixtures, my designer obviously helped me with the look of the fixtures but she also explained the difference in shower valve temperature regulations - thermostatic versus pressure balance and then I decided which kind I wanted. The shower fixtures you select would then determine what rough you needed and she was responsible for ordering those. In other words I selected the style and how I wanted the end use experience to be like but she was responsible for making sure that everything necessary was provided to the GC so his plumbers could install what I wanted. So although I was providing the fixtures to the GC, someone with technical expertise was guiding me in the purchase.

I don't see why you couldn't connect your hose directly to the shower arm without a diverter. I think the connections are all pretty standard. Shower arm, shower head, shower hose, and diverter all use the same screw in type connection. Use a good teflon tape (I like the thicker ones, not the thin white ones) and it should be water tight. Watch a youtube video on how to wrap the teflon tape to be sure you go in the right direction. If there is a rubber washer some times you don't need the teflon tape. You might just want to get a longer shower hose. This one is 8ft. 8 ft shower hose They make them even longer. We buy this set-up and then put our own rainfall shower head on it but since you don't need the shower head you could just use the wand with the diverter always set to the hose. It has 3 pressure settings. We use the highest pressure for washing our dogs and the extra hose length comes in handy.
