better looking is VERY subjective and what you like may not please my mother or a future buyer. Are you still playing "property ladder" and putting in something that you think will excite a prospective buyer? If this is you're personal residence, you plan to be there a while, get what you like and feel comfortable with. In my experience with kitchens in $$$$ homes there are 2 camps. 1 - people mentally check off that you have 2 ovens, 2 sinks 2 DW's, multiple fridges and wine/drink storage and they are highline brands or you don't. They don't really adjust their price upward because you have a Wolf or Miele. They usually adjust their price downward if at 2.5 million they see a Kenmore fridge and a White GEneric oven. the 2nd camp comprises the folks that recognize the really nice stuff but aren't really atune to exactly what it is (Gaggenau or Thermador) but can tell it's not Frigidaire - AND they love what you did. The flip side of this group hates that you picked a Thermador range and glazed vanilla cabinets with the Viking fridge. They'll rip it all out, dispose of it on Craigslist, and bring in their own designers to get what they think is good looking. Bottom line is you don't know which buyer is going to show up! It's all moot if you're going to be there for 10 + years as the stuff will all need remodeling anyway at that time. So, might as well get what YOU like and forget the masses. Yes, I meant 208v. I'll have to confirm tomorrow with the city, but I believer the service is 240v. The distance is roughly 100 feet from service panel to the oven.

I do not have the ge cafe wall oven, but I do have the ge cafe dual fuel range, and I really liked the oven. Prally had it about 2-3 years, no problems. I just bought a separate wall oven, and went with another GE, although not the cafe model. I am hoping it performs like the cafe model though...so far i've only cooked salmon and baked potatoes in it. The probe in the Cafe model works really well, although I only used it twice, but both time the roasts were perfect.

I assume someone consulted the installation specs and they are being followed? According to the specs, you definitely need the min. cutout of 28 1/2" wide by 27 1/4" high as you've pointed out. Not sure why the Designer would think this would fit the smaller opening if they read the installation instructions. Also, even though it says 'minimum opening', be sure to inspect the unit and look for any protruding screws that may catch on that 'minimum opening'. You don't want to have to be moving that thing any more than needed and a screw can make for a nasty tear-out on that frame if you need to remove it. Be sure that you have enough support on that cabinet bottom. If it is possible, try to have a 2x4 or 1x4, laid on it's face to slide the oven in and then rest on. Be sure that you also have enough space for the junction box as it's pointed out in the instructions as well. P.S. Just to be safe, this is the installation instructions link to the model you posted.
