Electrolux Icon All-Refrigerator intial review
Comments (5)Ours was delivered last week. We got the ICON All Fridge and Freezer. They are running and full of food, but not 'installed' yet, because our cabinets won't be here until Feb. 12th. We have the same setup as fabb. Another drawer under the meat drawer would be nice! I, too, am sensitive to noise and have remarked about how quiet they are. Ours are nearly silent which I am thankful for. We did get the kit, but won't put it in til the cabs go in. So far so good. Good luck with your decision teal123. I was glad when this one was made and so far, I think we're good....See MoreElectrolux Icon Oven HELP! Cleaning the glass???
Comments (5)Thanks gammyt. I did call the place I bought it from, they've been great. Truth is, I love this oven but we've had issues ever since it was installed. This is the first mechanical issue. When the oven was delivered it was completely bowed (damaged from freight??). Anyhow, appliance guy sent out a replacement right away. When we got the replacement, we noticed the inside racks were totally unlevel (by about an inch). Somehow in manufacturing, they installed the gliders upside down on the left side. My appliance guy sent us new gliders and guess what?? They sent the wrong side. So now I have three gliders sets for the right, and none for the left. I was still waiting for this issue to be resolved when the glass issue happened last night. Kind of funny actually. Anyone reading this who is considering purchasing this oven, I think I am just having a unique manufacturing issue. The oven itself I love. Just wish I could get one that was made right. :) Any other suggestions for the glass?? Or anyone else have this issue?...See MoreWhere to buy Electrolux Icon series?
Comments (12)i bought my single Icon oven from a local appliance dealer and am glad i did since it came with dirt btwn the multiple layers(3) of glass. I was able to get a service guy come to remove the glass to be cleaned and they ended up just replacing all of the removeable panes. Regarding spilling stuff in this area...looks like it could happen but chances are slim, but the double ovens could be designed differently. In other posts people have said that over time the spaces btwn the glass do get dirty and dust accumulates. IMHO this is a poor design, but i was told this is typical of glass fronted ovens. But you really got to love the look of this baby. And yes you do have to remove the racks when cleaning which is a bit of a pain; not too sure if it would have changed my mind on purchase; maybe. What I don't like is the fact that a regular size pizza box will not fit in the oven; THAT is a PAIN!...See MoreElectrolux Icon Slide-In Cooktop - thoughts?
Comments (1)I didn't know that anybody besides VIking.made radiant electric rangetops. And I sure never thought I'd see myself saying this, but the VIking 36" electric rangetop is about $700 less than the Electrolux at AJM. Might want to check that out, too....See MoreUser
