I recommend the Greenhouses and Garden Structures forum here. They've had several discussions on Harbor Freight Greenhouses. I highly recommend a few hours poking through those threads before taking the plunge and definitely before putting the thing together.

I also suspect you'll get more technical answers to your tomato questions there too. As far as I know, you can grow maters year round in greenhouses if you can afford to control the temperature.

I'm building a 13X18 pvc hoophouse to see if I can't grow straight through the winter here with hopefully 90% passive heating. I doubt I'll spend $100 bucks on it (I already have much of the materials) and I intend to discard the plastic come spring time.

Anyway, I intend to grow whatever I want. I think there's too much emphasis on growing the right variety and not enough on creating the right conditions. I've started about 20 varieties and will have some decisions to make as to which get spots in the greenhouse and which get overwintered indoors or culled. I'd like to keep them all alive and have some beefy plants to put in early in the spring. We'll see.

There are specific seeds for greenhouses if you want to try them. There's also a thread down this page on the same topic where the concern is high heat and humidity growing indoors in Texas. Close enough to you? I linked him to different information.

Anyway, good luck. Greenhouses are perfect little places to fake being very busy and thus be left alone to piddle with dirt and plants and other fun stuff.
