Hi, I have the SZ 48", Wolf steam oven, wolf L series double wall ovens, Wolf 6 burner 36" range top and Miele Dimension Plus dishwasher. I have a small built in GE microwave. I have Wolf ventilation, 42" wide, 600 CFM. I love them all and yes, I need all 3 ovens. In fact, I've used all 3 at the same time on multiple occasions and we finished our renovation in June. I chose the L series over the M series because only the L series offers convection in both ovens, with a single oven that would not be an issue. I chose the Dimension Plus over the Diamond because I could not justify $700+ for a lighted interior. The Dimension Plus has the automatic open at the end of the cycle. Let us know what you select. You will be fine living without a backsplash at all for a bit. If you are trying to decide, in a hurry, for the sake of having one you may make the wrong choice for you. Don't go with the 4" backsplash. Paint the wall behind the counter the same color as your room for now and take some time to decide what you really want. Your wall shouldn't get damaged at all. Once the countertop is installed you might have a better idea of what you want. then you can post a picture and get some different ideas here. Slow down, take a deep breath, you have time.

Wendy and homepro, we need at least an inch on the left side as the handle would bump against the coffee maker if we move any closer to the edge on the left. Sounds like the solution will be to add fillers on the right side and bring the top cabinet out closer to the edge to align with the rest of the paneling. Doesn't seem there is another way to do it. The carpenter says the top cabinet is too tight and he may not be able to make this week, not sure this reasoning makes any sense. Would love to hear any other ideas. Thanks all!

I think the main risk to the "back of oven cabinet" location is that it is, of necessity, very close to the surface of the adjacent counter. That is, imagine you set down a pitcher of lemonade and it fell over -- I think that the flow of lemonade could easily get inside your switch fixture and short something out. For sure, even that small Legrand pop-out looks like it would fill all the space between the higher and lower counters, and that's where i see the risk. I would, at minimum, consult your electrician about code before installing it there (with a cut to your cabinet). Maybe, if it's just the low-voltage cabinet lights, it would be ok, but...
