Smaller Electric Dryer Recommendation

My 1970's GE Electric Dryer DDE7200PBLWH still heats and performs well but it needs a new timer because beyond the 10 minute setting, the timer doesn't go down to zero about half the time. The timer is probably expensive and difficult to obtain since the dryer is so old that I'm considering buying a new dryer. I don't need anything fancy and the more basic/simple, the better. The room the washer/dryer are in is very small and difficult to squeeze in a dryer more than 27 inches wide. I'm even considering a compact dryer that you see in urban apartments. In the under $350 category (basic, no frills, 6cu ft) I've seen Amana, Roper and Hotpoint. Is there any one brand that's your favorite and which big box store is the best to work with regarding delivery, install and haul away?
