I relocated this snake, figure it was a rat snake but wanted to get an opinion.

It is a bit hard to tell from this photo, and I will have to assume you live in the US or Canada.

I am pretty sure this is a young(ish) Coachwhip (Coluber flagellum).

Here's a better pic (I think) We live in Central Texas.

These are really common in the lowcountry, judging by my experience with them. They are very good tree climbers, by the way! It's a little unnerving seeing one 'scale' a loblolly pine or a big live oak.

It's an Eastern Milk Snake. They are harmless and non-venomous.

Yes, it is a Florida Pinesnake (Pituophis melanoleucus mugitus). Not a common sight.

This is a Brownsnake (Storeria dekayi). This is an adult. They are small, harmless insect eaters.

Looking at the second picture, I will say it is a young Yellow-bellied Racer (Coluber constrictor). Young Racers and young Coachwhips are very similar looking.

Harmless lizard eater, either way.

found this snake at my new house. anyone know what kind it is? I was told it was a ball python but im not certain

You should have started a new post rather than adding to the other snake post.

The is a Gray Ratsnake (Pantherophis alleghaniensis although sometimes still known as P. obsoletus in older references).
You didn't say where you where, but this looks very much like the gray rats we used to get in South Carolina near the Georgia border.
