I need some expert help on spacing Hosta.
Comments (24)I was outside this evening until exhaustion and mosquitoes ( I sweated off the OFF!!) drove me in...and I am amazed at what a 2 eye start of hosta will do in 2 summers. The hosta I planted in 06 are amazing! The bed I started by stuffing some stuff in the ground in a bare spot under a tree in mid summer of 05, needs the "filler hosta" removed. I am a firm believer in Alfalfa pellets and water....and lots of wood chips!! Linda C...See MoreI need your help, cooking experts! Different cooking time.....
Comments (10)Isn't Tofurky already cooked? I'd think it would have to be to be packaged and sold the way it is. If so, the lower for longer makes sense because the point is just to make the middle pleasantly warm. Is it supposed to get brown though? It might not at that temperature, since browning generally happens at 350° F. What you could do if it's looking a bit sad is raise the temperature after you take the turkey out to rest, brush the top of the tofurky with a little oil or soy sauce or something, and put it back in just long enough to brown. This is all off the cuff, though. I've done something similar with a meatloaf, but I've never seen a Tofurky out of the box. :) Very good of their customer service to get back to you so quickly! Good luck with it and Happy Thanksgiving!...See MoreI can't find a name for this plant. Experts needed. Thanks.
Comments (8)I traveled the 13 miles to where I purchased the plant. However, there were none there but I did pick up a tag named Fred Ives. It was in a container that had the top of the plant gone. I am thinking that this must be it. There were thhttps://www.google.com/search? So I think gyr..falcon is correct. My thanks to all that commented. Comments (5)Limestone is a very soft, porous stone. I would be very careful cleaning the stone as cleaners can be harsh. A pressure washer can do damage also. I would wait a year before sealing I'm not familiar with Harbour gray limestone, but I can tell you our experience with Indiana limestone. We have been using it for many years on coping and patios/walkways. A traditional mortar bed of typical sand and gray portland will "bleed" through the stone for about a year and then the natural coloring of the stone will be more consistent. If a white portland cement and yellow mason sand are used, you will not have any bleed. This procedure is actually stated on the Indiana Limestone site. Carefully clean and apply a sealer for this stone. Some sealers may change the stone's coloring, so be aware of that. Some efflorescence may occur along the way which is a naturally occurring event. The bucket stains may not come out-just sloppy work unfortunately....See Moresnakeliz
