The last picture looks like what could be a couple of red spidermites in the picture (too small to tell for sure) and the one before that has the characteristic webbing that they make. Around here, they usually only become a problem if the plant is already suffering, i.e., they are not usually the primary issue. However, once they get going, they can become a real problem. They do not seem to like oils sprayed on them, such as Neem. I've also got some other horticultural oil that is a mix of garlic oil, clove oil and some other oil that I've used. Oils require full application on the tops and bottoms of every leaf, and are best to spray in the evening. It essentially suffocates the little devils. :-) Sorry you are having such a complicated year. It does seem to happen to us all at some point. Good luck Ray!

Very nice work with the camera. I am not sure what the fly-like critter is but I saw a few of those in my peach trees this weekend. It does not look like the OFM adult pictures I looked up online. And despite spraying regularly with Triazicide (best I have ever managed to keep up a regular spray schedule despite the rain), I have now an outbreak of OFM in my peach trees. What do you do when the scheduled sprays are not working? What is the 'go-to' insectacide to combat a spray failure?

Hi All, Thank you all for your replies. I took 2 more pictures this morning just so that I can help answer some of the questions but now I believe this is just growth on the tree! I tried removing it to see if it has wings or legs and it just peeled off and left white substance. Please see the attached images and let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Sam

In rethinking your funky mold or slimey thing, depending upon where you found it, you might try asking at The Lawn Forum, if you found it in the lawn, or Woodlands Forum if found in the woods, or maybe Native Plants if found in a 'natural' setting. I'm sure someone somewhere can help you with both at an existing forum or two.
