Well, they were definitely frog eggs. I moved some to the bath tub with lilies & just in time, too. The fish found them shortly after. The ones in the tub are bigger than tadpoles & are a beige, tan color. They seem to like duckweed, LOL. I'm thinking leopard frog. Haven't got a pic yet ... batteries are low on camera. They're fighters, too. The tub drained twice (completely & don't know for how long but the minnows in there died) & yet they're still alive & kicking. The tub has been fixed & won't drain again.

The fish ate them !! Our pond has two small ponds above a large pond. We always have hundreds of tadpoles in the upper two ponds. Our fish are in the lower,large pond. The fish will spend hours each day waiting below waterfall for tadpoles to come tumbling out of the upper ponds. Guess what, we have never had tadpoles in the lower pond where the fish live.

I just joined, so I've been browsing. I know this was posted over a month ago, but thought I'd jump in anyway. It's hard to tell size from a picture, but it looks to me like a grey treefrog. Spring peepers are about the size of your thumbnail, or thereabouts, and grey treefrogs are more golf ball sized. Did you see the belly? They have bright yellow bellies.
