I live in the Southern Tier of NY. During the recent floods people in my devel. gathered around our fire station which is along rt 17. I noticed a huge bird circling over head. Knowing it was far to big to be a hawk and also that it wasn't a young Bald Eagle which live in our area a man standing next to me said people had seen a Golden Eagle in the area. Knowing the range of a Golden Eagle I brushed it off. I saw it after the floods reseeded flying low over my head. It is a Golden Eagle. Today at the same spot two of them soured high over head. The large one and a slightly smaller one. A pair. I took pictures and video of them but i know from the past putting pictures on here is a nightmare. They have been here for at least the summer. Hopefully they stay
