This is AMAZING!!!!! I am extremely impressed and DH should be, too!! Gosh, it gets hot enough to sleep outside? I think I miss those days. Though I think this isn't where you'll be making stuff anymore!! LOL You've really gussied it up and found wonderful bargains to pretty-ize it. Fantastic job!!

when i looked at it, i thought, you look like a cypress, but there's no way, then after i posted and you said no it wasn't a salvia i thought cypress that standing thing!! so i did, just backwards, LOL thank you all so much!! :')

Linda, dropping dirt is exactly what I do ha. I work for a propogating nursery and we have huge compost piles outside which we are generously allowed to use. I take two big plastic boxes left over from when we moved here and fill them every day with the compost (mostly dirt but lots of interesting stuff comes up in it). I take it home and drop it on the sand until I have the size or shape garden I want. I plant it and eventually I border it with dropped cement. I've made about seven gardens of different sizes doing this. Seriously I could drop the dirt and water it and all kinds of goodies would pop up (along with weeds). I've had datura, viola, spiderwort, hyssop and of course petunias come up in it. Adele

I just cut into one of my italian trees. It was about the only one I selected for productivity more than flavor. Although the flavor is still supposed to be pretty good. And it was the best one I've had so far. Well worth growing, even though it hasn't been any more productive than the others so far. Go figure. I think part of my problem was not letting them ripen enough. The other part was, the first ones just may not taste as good for some reason. But I'm still thinking better soil could help. And I may find out soon, since the tomatoes in my old garden should start ripening soon. And the soil in there should be much richer since it's had lots of compost, straw, and weeds mixed in.
