Advice on Black Racer Eggs

We saw a 2-3 foot long black racer hanging around a mulch bed that surrounds our patio yesterday. After a couple of hours, I saw it go into a small hole in the mulch.

Today, I went to see if its still around and almost certainly see some eggs in that same hole.

I would like to be considerate to mother nature, but I have two little girls that frequently play around the area with the hatching eggs.

I understand the value of black racers keeping rodents/other snakes away - but in the same sense don't really like the thought of having them around.

Any suggestions on how I can keep my family safe without killing the snakes? I have an acre, so can certainly try to transplant to a far corner of the property, but am reading that will not work.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
