Alien critters from today

Hm, between the sunburn and the chigger bites, a few brushes against the anchor rope was enough to take the cake for today. I had a trifecta o pain. These crazy looking aliens are 6-12 inches in diameter. Thought it would be a change of pace for the peeps from the hills.

Great images of what I think is the Moon Jellyfish, Aurelia. This is the most common of jellies, and often found washed up on the shore in hard globs. I miss living near the coast. ;-(

I am south of KC about 40 miles or so... Lucky you for Zone 7... My BIL is from northern Arkansas (I think Piggott)...do you have a similar landscape in the bootheel? It is beautiful down there!....so strange to have the scenery change almost the instant you cross the border. Get many tornados?

If you take mama gooses photo - if you take her starfish and crab claw as the base of an equilateral triangle, then at the top is my turtle. Right above the word claw is my sleeping Canada Goose. And of course, as soon as the critter is pointed out to us we'll wonder how we ever missed it.
