If you have the energy to do it, maybe you could put in a small garden pond/pool nearby. That would give you a focal point that you could landscape around, and if there is a shallow area for the birds, it would be even better.

Hey, I was at the owl festival in Houston, MN back in February and saw the Eurasian Eagle owl and tawny owl that the World Bird Sanctuary brought. Were you there? I live in the Twin Cities to Missouri is a bit of a drive, but I did enjoy seeing these different owls close to home. I got a few photos at the photo session. Excellent photos! I have been trying to photo a few that have been vacating our waterhole in our back pasture. Since water is becoming scarce and waterholes drying up everywhere down here, they are becoming more visible, but my photos always come out blurry. I'll keep trying... Once again, nice shots. Kt

My cousin owns a house on a 50 acre "farm" property. She has an old barn on the property, which they use to store vehicles and tools. She has lived there 30 years and people are always dumping unwanted kittens near the barn, feeling they'll have a place to be safe and catch mice and be fine. NOT! My cousin gathers them up and takes them to the ASPCA to be destroyed. I once thought she was cruel, but now I know she's not running an animal sanctuary. See all the above replies. No one thinks you should have to put up with this nuisance.
