It looks like an Araucaria species of some kind, but am not sure which. The 'catkin' looking cones are the male thingies and the others are the female structures. When I first looked at the picture I thought it might be Araucaria araucana...the Monkey Puzzle tree. Where was this tree located? 'Cause if it's in zone 6, I'm waaaaay off base. ;-)

The bulb may be a Camassia.

Note that the Cotoneaster horizontalis mentioned can get knee to waist high over time, whereas bearberry will stay more of a ground cover. The berries of both plants are not tasty. If low groundcover is your desire, find an exact replacement or try cuttings or perhaps seedlings.

Don't know what it is,but it sure is pretty.The flowers look like those on my peanut cactus,same color and everything,and mine is starting to bloom as well. TFS Kathi
