It would be helpful to describe both plants- if it's a very thick-coverage vine, it could be an ivy, honeysuckle, or kudzu, all of which are very common in Georgia. Honeysuckle has flowers, ivies are very distinctive and usually a dark emerald green (they also smell a bit like a tomato plant), and kudzu is absolutely all over the place.

The bulb may be a Camassia.
