need help with yellowjackets...

This is our third summer in this house, and durring the first two I had to call an exterminator to get rid of the yellow jackets. In the past, they weren't a problem until a little later in the summer, but once there were a couple of them around, they seemed to multiply overnight.

We really don't want to continue to use pesticides around (and ON!) our house, but there were so many, we had no choice. Over the past few days I've seen several in the eves building ther nests, and even killed two in the house.

We would like to find some safe and effective methods to get rid of these nasty little buggers before they get out of control again. I purchased two hanging "traps", and set them out last night, but according to the direction they need to go out earlier in the summer to get the queen, so I may be too late with those.

Any help or info would be greatly appreceated. Thanks A&P
