With all due respect to people who sell worms, I think that freely giving them to someone who will 'pay it foreward' is beyond great. I gave a small box to my sister, who was not all that interested.[she said] Now she is like a doting mother of her herd .. Gave a larger bin to a mother of 6, who homeschools. So far everything going well and kids enjoying worm farming,[which has layers of learning opportunities] In both cases, I got as much or more pleasure out of passing on my 'more-than-a-hobby' than they did. Nice how that works out, huh?

They sure have some pretty hummingbird feeders. I don't need any more this year, but I saved the link for later reference. A few weeks ago I asked about how to raise mealy worms. I don't know if that's what you are referring to or not. I buy mine at Wildbird's Unlimited. I buy about 2,000 at a time. They go pretty fast around here since the robins found them. I lowered the top on my worm feeder so only the bluebirds could get to it, but after seeing the robins going to a nest last year I raised it so they could feed their babies as well. A couple of days ago I saw a mocking bird getting worms. I thought about getting a larger supply at one time, but did not know how often to take the worms from the refrigerator and feed them or even what to feed them. I've learned a lot from this place.
