Hi Jerilee! It's dangerous to come here as we like to recruit new addicts - people we can point to and say, "See, it's not just me!" So watch out or you'll get the bug and before you know it, you'll have dozens of Hoyas to fuss over... I would repot your carnosa - after so many years, I'm sure it's rootbound and it surely needs some fresh soil. We all have different mixes we like. I'm a fan of coir, but if you're not a super-picky grower, I'd just use some standard potting mix with perlite added. As you can tell, Hoyas are not terribly easy to kill. Water it when it's dry. Fertilize it, yes. I would suggest you get 2 kinds of fertlizer, and I suggest Fertilome brand - it's 100 times better than MG. Get a standard "all purpose" kind of fertilizer that is good for leaf growth, and get a "bloom booster". During the growing season, I would alternate between the two, so when you water this time use one, when you water next time, use the other, at about 1/2 strength, maybe even a little less. But use it every time. Your Hoya will likely respond well. Keep it in a bright spot - east and west windows are ideal, I try to keep them as close to the window as possible. And Brad is right - if you can summer it outside on a covered porch, or hanging in a tree where it gets mostly dappled light, they love the fresh air. Just watch carefully for aphids. Your old Hoya should perform beautifully for you with a little TLC! Denise in Omaha

A little off-topic, but just got back from Colorado-we drove up to the Alpine gift shop in the Rocky Mountains. I got to talking to a lady who worked there-she stated most who work for the National Park company (I'm assuming) are retired or college kids. She said the company charges them $15 a day for lodging and includes three meals a day. A bus takes them all up the mountain everyday for work. I thought it would be great for a married couple or single man or lady (like her) to experience if they wanted "something to do". You can move around from National Park to National Park if you want or stay at the same one. I wanted to ask her more about it, but I didn't want to ask too personal questions. I have a friend, who I am going to have her check it out-as I think she'd enjoy it.

My Purple Cheetah never has spots; of course, we are definitely not having cool weather for markings. Sitting Cool is a bit washed out here this year, but has good substance. Good to know about Prince Poppycock's height. (This year's moisture may be a factor.)

You're welcome! Moses.
