An alternative is to get some #9 wire (I think that;s what it is called, it's a heavy guage wire that sells by the roll - 25 ft) snip into 3-4 ft lengths, and bend into hoops. If you bend a small loop about 18 inches from each end, you get asomething to tie onto. Push the stake ends of the hoops into your garden over the bed, and cover with your choice of covering (frc or plastic). Take a cord/string and run it from one side, over the top to the next hoop, going through the little hoops. This will keep the covering on and also let you slide one side up a bit for ventilation. It's probably less $$ than going for a cold frame, although the frame probably does look better.. !

Lynn So sorry for your stress. It brings back bad memories of my own stress dealing with landscape crews when we lived in an homeowners association. It took monumental effort to keep them out of my yard spraying poisons I didn't need and blowing debris from one side of the street and then coming back and doing it in the opposite direction. Result: air pollution with no positive results. I asked nicely, wrote letters, called and was assured it would never happen again and finally started yelling when more poison arrived without the legally proscribed flagging and/or notice. Threats about reporting them to state authorities finally worked because they would be fined and lose license. Sorry for the rant. I care deeply about poisoning the earth, it's animals and it's water. I now live in a non-HOA. The yardwork belongs to ME!!! Yay. Good luck with your roses, I think they'll make it. BTW I saved my yelling for the bosses because the crew is underpaid and never gets any information from higher ups. The are just doing what they are told by people who give them a check. Denise

We have purchased the Sierra Designs Bedouin 6 tent off Ebay for $183.00. I've set it up inside our garden room and there's room for four large ThermaRest pads and room to cruise up the middle. The tent is only 8 square feet larger in area than our SD Base Camp '88 model, but the headroom is over six feet so it feels a lot larger. I really like the bends in the X-poles and the as-always top-shelf quality of Sierra Designs products. I counted 27 different pockets in the tent, really like the adjustable clothesline too. There are three different dual cupholders attached to the tent, they are mesh and also have small pockets above them. The dual vestibules are a nice feature that the Agnes Big House didn't offer. Brow poles make them possible and don't require stooping for entry like most vestibules. The amount of mesh is just right, there's ventilation but with the fly there is heat retention as well. We're taking it into the back country next month for camping in the Laguna Mountains.

Thank you! That's what we've always thought. He's been matched to as many missing people that we could find but everything was a dead end. We figure that it's possible he was in foster care most of his life & that anyone that would recognize him is not online. There are a lot of people that have never heard his story; we could not target everyone even if we tried.
