had relatives (inlaws) moving out to Las Vegas. Was really tied up for quite awhile. Finally got out last weekend and enjoyed camping along Navajo Lake on Cedar Mounatain. They have and ice cave up there. There was ice all 0ver the floor inside and about 6 ft of snow piled up in the entrance way. Ever been to an ice cave? I heard there was one near canoe Creek state park in Pa, Rusty.

Well, it is hovering well into the hundreds out here in the upper Mojave. So, I headed up to the Kolob Terrace in the backcountry of Zion Natl Park. I explored some little known ancient Indian caves and took some pictures. Lots of petroglyphs and pictographs. The coolest part was a large cave called Mother Earth cave. Three levels and I was the only one there. No tourists. Like I said, it's off the beaten path and hard to locate. The drive up to Navajo lake on the well groomed dirt road was really nice.

Fields of wildflowers all along the way. I hiked up to an alcove looking for arrowheads. Found none, but had a great scramble up the steep alcove. The campground is in the lower end of the natural lake and very quiet. I had my kayak with me and floated silently around the lake as the sun went down. No bugs! I used the Off wipes that Dale was using. In fact, I handed several green packs out to people to try. I like the fact that they are in wipe form. No more salve that is hard to spread evenly.

Lots of people catching trout, too. I haven't bought my new license yet. too bad.
