Red Cliffs Rec area/ campground

Greetings!

Just spent the day at Red Cliff's Recreation Area, Southern Utah! The campground is way cool! Trees are a rare treat in the high desert. Cottonwoods line a stream that flows out of Pine Mtn through the redrock and splits the campground down the middle. There are tons of hikes to do. Kids especially love to slide downt the slickrock into the streams at the waterfalls. Ancient Anasazi Indian pit houses and pictographs are on site, too. If anyone ever visits Southern Utah, this place is very nice and wooded. Many other places have no trees! Some even have awnings you camp under to avoid the hot sun. This place is run by the

BLM govt. I went there today and hiked up the creek 7 miles into the redrock mtns and found a hidden valley. Lots of wildflowers! Chuckwalla lizard, desert tortoise, too.

hope you like the pictures.
