I don't know when they migrate in your area but Orioles have started south from here and won't be back until next March.

If you go to eBird and plug in your location (via Change Location button) you can get a graph showing when Baltimore Orioles have been seen there.

I'm still seeing orioles with fledglings here in southeast MA.

We still have Orioles and fledglings here in central WI. Ours eat jelly all summer and usually leave sometime in August.

i get the bullocks orioles here instead of the Baltimores but their habits are the same. the males start arriveing last week in april and the females about a week later. they go thru their mating and pair off and start nesting by mid may. to start with both males and females are at the feeders often and eat a lot of jelly and fruit and necter. but as the go off to nest the males and females take turns coming to eat 3 or 4 times a day. by then there are lots of insects and i see them on my garden and flowers catching bugs and insects and grashoppers ect. as soon as the young fledge they start bringing them to the feeders and the young ones eat often covering the feeders.
by mid july the males have started leaving and they disappear for the year but the females and their young stay around till mid august to late august and they leave out to head south.

I'm in the north SF Bay Area in California. I guess it depends on when they nest in your area. Here they start arriving early in March and by the first of July the males are leaving and the females and young follow them a couple of weeks later. They seemed to be a little earlier than usual this year.

Thanks for all your info. Now I am disturbed because I fear something has happened to them. I have seen no evidence of fledglings or the adults either for over a week. I have been keeping the jelly feeder filled with fresh Grape Jelly but no activity. I will keep hoping.

Most likely when they don't come around anymore to your handouts then they're busy raising a family.

they are here in quebec I have a huge mullberry tree and see them at least 4 times a day will post pictures in a couple of weeks I have a Oriole feeder but they don't touch it I would like to find a way to keep them coming

I wouldn't worry too much. I don't feed the Orioles, but nevertheless have had a Baltimore Oriole nest in the Pin Oak tree right above my feeders and deck for the past 3 years. This year, I watched more closely. Once the baby(ies) fledged on June 14th, they pretty much left the area, and I've only had sporadic sightings. I hear them once in awhile, saw the male at the bird bath last week, saw what I think was a youngster up in the canopy one day, but for the most part they have moved on.

IIRC, Baltimore Orioles only have one brood, so their work is done. They are probably enjoying the summer and eating bugs!

Just had a follow-up thought. The parent Orioles could be busy teaching their youngsters "the ways of the world". The jelly in the feeders is only a small part of their diet, and I'm guessing they need to learn about finding food sources, and many other survival skills.

I so hope those of you who think they are "busy" with their family are right. Maybe I will see them again yet this year. I hope!
