Oh I got to post that the Lemon Meringue smelled today too lol oh man in the next few days if all these buds on all those brugs open...you better come over Kristy and get a sniff and look at them. It will be nice. You can have pollen if you come early enough to take it. This year I am just not into it yet to do it right. Man Granddaughter is sleeping and this was a LONG day....and I like to close it by just sitting here, relaxing and hoping for some great pictures or just some things to learn. I know everyone's soil/region is different. I am so disgusted with my soil this year. Nothing but rock-hard red clay that practically bakes into Terra Cotta in the sun. Even the topsoil we used for some of the raised beds crusts over pretty hard on top and needs some work. A local daylily grower/seller in Georgia who also used to grow them in Florida's almost 100% sandy soil told me the best thing I could do for my daylilies in this area is mix in as much sand as possible with the soil that's there and be sure and break up all the large dirt chunks. Pretty labor intensive but sand is cheap and I figured it's worth a shot. Supposedly easier for the roots to grow through it if it's sandier. I may have to water more frequently but each time you water it's actually getting where it needs to go unlike my hard clay where it just runs off right now and isn't really soaking down to the roots. He's successfully grown and had a buisness for years so I figure he knows what he's talking about. Of course that black mid-western/northern soil would be wonderful too but would cost a pretty penny here. Good luck with your clumps! Danielle

Terriks, sorry I didn't see this earlier, I've not been around much lately. Did you ever figure out your table situation? I believe there are several manufacturers for that table, I can call our sales rep if you'd like to inquire, or email you her contact information and yes it does go to 65 inches as a round. I have to say it's beautiful in person. The only reason we didn't buy it, is because it's too big for our little space. We actually ended up getting a different table from a different store that we NOW have to return due to a defect. We have bought a new table that is scheduled to be delivered in a couple of weeks but now I'm not really sure how well it's going to work in our little space. It's also a table set from that Artvan store and is gathering height. I like that the butterfly leaf, which we'll probably never use, is hidden under the table. We also got the side board so everything in the room will be the same height. Our problem is that we don't want to invest a lot of money into something that is more for appearance sake and less for use since we don't entertain a lot. The one we opted to go with suits our needs and is a style we're comfortable with though we prefer the dark rich wood on the table we bought originally. Unfortunately there really wasn't a lot of selection in our area in our price range. I have to admit, I never dreamed I'd even consider a gathering height table & chairs, but they are so much more comfortable to sit in.
