Moran State Park

Hey all, got to make another short camping trip this week to Moran State Park on Orcas Island (San Juan Islands off the coast of WA in Puget Sound). Had a great trip, nice weather, got to use my new sleeping bag:)-warm and cozy. This picture is taken at the top of Mt. Constitution, the tallest mountain in the San Juans, it looks out on all the islands and that is Mt. Baker in the backround.

Thanks Bigack and Joan... Bigack you would have a blast there...there are trails leading off from here...I haven't done the walking trail that overlooks...yet! I think that would have to be a day with packed lunch and no pressures of having to do anything else...I easily take 300-400 pics in this part of park alone...of course alot do not come out...I get enthralled with it.... DH Jim and I WANT to be frequent campers but haven't made that work yet. Right now we are just doing one trip a year - that's when we go to Jacksonville FL for the annual quilt show with my camping/quilting friend Marilyn and her DH. We had hoped to be looking for a trailer this year but there are too many other demands on finances so we'll have to put that purchase off for a year (or two). In the meantime, we'll rent a small RV for the quilting trip. It's fun to be able to travel with DC ('dear canine') Scout!

WOO-HOO!! Great picture!! How i'd like to go see the North-west areas! But, time is too short for me to go out there! And, gas too high! Grandma told me not to get on one of those "airy-planes"--If God had wanted us to fly, he'd of given us wings! So, i'll have to stay here in scenic Pennsylvania!
Jenn, your other picture of the woods with the very old trees was good too. Interesting flora and fauna, or whatever they call it!
