The broms with the variegated leaves (bars of dark and light green) are probably vriesias. They will get a sword-shaped bract/flower spike. The flatter broms with pink or red centres, and the smaller ones beside them (in the first pic) are neos. I think the full name is neoreglia. It would be almost impossible to identify the exact cultivar names, so you'll just have to look around at garden centres and on the Internet for others that you like. Picture #2 looks like it could be a wandering jew. Normally they are purple and silver, but if grown in lower light, they will be green and silver. Picture #4 is a tree fern of some kind. Not a staghorn. Looks a bit like asplendum nidus (sp? Bird's Nest fern), but not quite like it. I don't know what the others are. Check the link below for lots of fern pics. They also sell them. We love Costa Rica! We stayed at the (Marriott) Hotel Los Suenos which is right on the beach on the Pacific side and is a very good hotel surrounded by a network of pools. It is very pretty and has good food. We went on a zip line canopy tour and on a kayak trip that included snorkeling off some rocks. The fish were incredibly colorful! One of our best memories was a visit to Villa Caletas which is one of the most romantic and beautiful places you can imagine. They have a Roman style amphitheater built into the hillside where you can sit, enjoy a drink and watch the most fabulous sunsets over the Pacific 1000 feet below, while listening to stirring music. The restaurant is good too. We intend to return to Costa Rica and would love to stay at Villa Caletas! Please check out the photos on the link below. Hi Have been going to Costa Rica for many years and always wanted to move there but wife hates the "jungle"lol. Usually go for Scuba in the Pacific at Manuel Antonio as well as the orchids While sitting at a bar on the beach I counted 80 Hummers within the confines and the bar tender apologised for there being so few lol Another memory was getting a 10 second view of a Quetzal at Monte Verde as well as a Toco Toucan both in full color. I'm planning a trip to Colombia as I wanted to see the high altitude forests plus I have a friend who lives there as a guide A bit apprehensive and wife has already refused mainly because of the drugs which I find amusing as we live in florida !!
