26th Annual Pittston Tomato Festival this weekend... N.E. PA area

This is about an hour or so south of Binghamton NY off I-81 / US-11, between Scranton & Wilkes-Barre PA in the heart of the Wyoming Valley... my family (and Oleyar's German) is from the next town over... they believe the acidic soil of the coal mining area is what makes their tomatoes taste so great.

There are all kinds of activities scheduled Thursday thru Sunday, (5k race, parade, tomato fight, tomato contest, marinara sauce contest, bands, food, etc,) see the link. Even the town's street signs have a red tomato on them. They bill the town as the tomato capital of the world!

Here's a pic I took from a few years ago of the Tomato Fight...

TT, nothing like making someone fall outa bed! Glad to see you back here. As for the situation here, everything is worse than before and day-to-day. As they say on TV, maybe you can "c'mon down!"
