Well, the first one takes about four square feet. After that they spread into a thicket and will take over. I don't really know if they spread by root or just by seed, but they will spread. I have one in my yard that I am managing to keep looking like a tree, at least for now. The main problem with them is that it's hard to get enough berries to do anything with unless you have a thicket. Finding a wild stand is the best thing.

It started out one little green blip on the radar map that just happened to be overhead. When I let out the dogs I noticed that there was some confetti-like stuff coming down. About 10 minutes later it ended and I zoomed out on the radar and it looked like several larger green with some yellow blips coming at us and even atlanta. But it didn't happen again that I noticed. It didn't accumulate or anything but it was kind of like mother nature throwing confetti to celebrate the new year. It wasn't even that cold either. I think it was around 33-36 degrees. Not that flurries are unheard of this time of year just that it's been so long since we had any in my area. It looked like north fulton/forsyth got the heaviest with the yellow/green blips. Maybe someone can confirm.

There is nothing I would save on that wall except the firebox itself. Wayyyy too much fakey stacked stone, the mantles are ridiculous, and the varied niches are just odd. You can spend a bunch of time and money trying to make this work or tear it off and fix it once.
