There are blooming size trees of this at the Fullerton Arboretum at Fullerton State University, as well as at the Huntington and LA County Botanic Garden. Said to typically bloom about March or early April. I've no idea how long it will take my small specimen to start blooming, but it is still actively growing even with night temps already dipping slightly below 40F. I guess it is unlikely that I'll find anyone on this forum that is actually growing it already.

Pool plastered a wk ago with 3 m Carribean Blue, Premium. The person who plastered it claimed to have used product alot before. Started Pool fill same day-without acid bath or other treatment. When completely full - acid put in pool and then brushed for 3 days. Problem: Inconsistant exposer of quartz-particularly on steps, and the loveseats [all 4]along spotter tiles. White shrieks [some rised-thicker plaster appearently], wavy lines, large and white spots various areas of pool, sides, bottom steps and loveseats. Finsh is not acceptable. The person who did the work claims all 3m finished pool inconsistent, etc. Claims he has done many. Says if we checked pools done by others with this prouct, all would look like ours. 'Just the nature of the product'- he would have us beleive. Our Constractor trusted the person-he has done good work for him in the past but never with this product. This is the first time our constractor has had customer use this product. He will do what is neccessary to rectify problem. The q. is what is the best to do at this point? i have planted about 750 trees.. and conifers on my 5 acres ... on glacial sand ... [lots of minis and dwarfs] AND NEVER FERT'D A SINGLE ONE ... PLEASE STOP FERTG THIS TREE .. very frankly .. your tree looks GREAT ... i never presume mother nature allows a perfect specimen ... and i would not waste time .. money.. nor exposure on treating for this rather minor blemish .. there is no way that little damage is in any way .. effecting those leaves ability to process sunshine and feed the tree [which is another reason it doesnt need fert] bottom line.. its a tree .. treat it as such.. it is not a child.. that needs feeding.. pampering.. etc .. and BTW ... if you fert the lawn.. this tree will get whatever it needs from that ... no need to double or triple up ... enjoy your tree.. dont fixate on it ... ken ps: my theory is.. the pix are sideways.. because you turned your gizmo to portrait pix ... to take pix of the tall tree ...
