Comments (6)If I were you, I'd go with an evergreen so you always have year-round privacy, and add annuals every year for your flowers. Annuals will also let you change what flowers and what colors you use every year, so you don't get tired of it always looking the same. I think people in your zone or close to your zone would be better at recommending specific plants than somebody like me in such a different climate. But I bet that you could grow sweet peas so gorgeous that I would just eat my heart out. : )...See MoreUsing old chain link fence posts for a new privacy fence?
Comments (9)I use the process in the article referenced by " pretty_saab"with a slight variation/s. I dome the, vinyl ad-mix, concrete at the posts to prevent the affect of ponding which van occur from soil subsidence, wash the posts with vinegar, prime, using a string line mount the brackets. The field posts are sleeved/enclosed with 1x and 2x for posts where gates are installed. There are any number of capitols available for the post tops, or you can fashion your own....See MoreEvergreen vine for chain link fence
Comments (16)in mild winters , mine keeps most of it leaves. The discrepancy might be in the character of the winters in Texas compared to PNW. We have much milder weather most of the time and the BANG we get a huge 60 degree drop in a day and then mild again. Usually we will have 3 of these cold fronts. This year we had one. I swam many times in January in the neighboring river. It started to loose some leaves in January briefly around that realy strong cold front and then was actively growing again soon after. You guys get cold and stay coldish for awhile. More time to loose more leaves. We , in Texas, are in a PNW summer right now.. Have been for awhile. Tomatoes are ripening....See Moreroselee z8b S.W.
