A few more waterfowl pics

I said I would post more from the waterfowl migration. It's taking me FOREVER to go through my photos, so I am going to post just a few at a time. Today's are Northern Shoveler and Green-winged Teal.

The N. Shoveler is one I've had difficulty photographing. I can't seem to get the light right to show his coloration on his head and neck. Most of my shots those parts look black. After many, many tries, I am reasonably happy with these two photos.

The Green-winged Teal is a less common bird here (not UNcommon, but not to be found in every pond like some of our other waterfowl). This guy was across the pond from me, so I was stretching the capability of my lens to get shots. These aren't the best, but they do show how beautiful the bird is.

Hope you enjoy!
